Honeydew Ginger Smoothie

Celebrate the arrival of spring with this fresh & green Honeydew Ginger Smoothie!  This is a super healthy bevvy, and downing one of these in the morning is a fantastic way to get hydrated, healthy, and energized for your day. This is a great green smoothie for beginners, since it’s packed with loads of nutrition while still being sweet and easy-drinking – I promise you cannot taste the spinach!

Ingredient Breakdown:

Honeydew Melon: Despite being sweet as candy, honeydew melon is a healthy, low-calorie choice. The sweet flesh is packed full of Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B-6, and both soluble and insoluble fiber.

Spinach: These lovely green leaves are loaded with good-for-you nutrients including iron, calcium, vitamin K, and folate. Spinach is also packed with flavonoids which act as antioxidants and protect the body from free radical damage.

Ginger: This aromatic and spicy root is so soothing when combined with the honeydew melon! It’s also great for curbing cravings, eliminating nausea, and reducing inflammation in the body.

Hemp Hearts: Hemp hearts, or shelled hemp seeds, have a very high and diverse nutritional content. They are a complete protein, contain essential fatty acids, and are a good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber. They are also packed with vitamins and minerals. The combination of calories, complex carbohydrates and protein in hemp hearts has been shown to provide long-lasting energy.


2 cups honeydew melon, chunked
1 banana
1 handful fresh spinach
½ cup almond milk
½ cup vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
1 tbsp hemp hearts
4 ice cubes


Combine all ingredients in a blender, with the honeydew at the bottom. Blend until smooth (you may have to add a little more almond milk or some coconut water to thin it out to your liking). Serve cold and enjoy!
